oh..... you have a battery with both top posts and GM side "posts". Every Optima yellow and red top I've seen has both sets of posts on it. Thing is, you should only be using the top posts. GM is the only company I know of that actually uses the side posts. The bolt holes on the side aren't really strong enough to take much flexing. I've seen top posts crack from a significant trail run, so those soft lead bolt threads won't stand a chance. The thing to do is to put either military or marine clamps on the top posts and then use cables with lugged ends. That way you can keep things organized and still disconnect everything at once when you have to.
